We are a family run small business, trading since 2010 in west cork. We decided to make the leap and turn our love of animals into a business, so everyday we are doing a job we love. Pets are our passion and we genuinely enjoy what we do.
My eldest, is our reptile and exotics expert. An avid reptile keeper and enthusiast, Charlie is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the weird and wonderful. Currently finishing his master’s degree in wildlife biology, Charlie works weekends and holidays in the store.
If its slimy, scaly, slithery or can lick its own eyeball, Charlies the one to talk to
Our equestrian, working up through Pony Club as a child while also attending events at local and national level.
We are lucky enough to have horses at home which is out favorite way to pass the time, well, maybe not on one of Irelands “grand soft” days, when you’re soaked to the skin.
Horses are great therapy for the mind and body.
Bonnie has also worked for various yards, including Irish and Italian eventers.
Currently Bonnie is completing a course in Master Saddlery and Leatherwork, producing bespoke collars and leads for the shop. How cool is that?!
My youngest, is our small animal career, Breeding rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters in small but mighty way at home to help stock the shop, while always having his best friend, Moose, always by his side. The big lump.
We are terribly old fashioned, and like it that way! Our store reminds me of how pet shops used to be when I was a child, the sights and sounds, the chatter of Budgies and the squeaks of Guinea Pigs. We welcome families just to come in and take the time to stroll around and view them.
Rabbits Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Mice, Canaries, Finches, Budgies, Love Birds, Tropical and cold water Fish.
Reptiles too, currently we have a Yemen Chameleon, a Leopard Gecko and some Bearded Dragons.
We are chock a block stocked with all manner of supplies. Deliveries arrive daily, so if there is something you need that we don’t have, we will always endeavor to source it.
Pet foods include, Royal Canin, Burns, Acana, Jameswell Beloved, Gain, Bluegrass
The last, but by no means least, introduction is Hannah. We can’t talk about our shop without mentioning our resident feathered friend!!
An Australian Electus, Hannah has been with us a good few years now, and expect to find her wandering freely around the shop. Muttering away to herself.
She particularly admires rugged hairy men ( yes she has a type) and will flirt outrageously when somebody catches her eye. She is particularly famous at this stage.
We always have a good selection of furries in store, and welcome you all just to come in with the kids for a look.
